As part of YWCA Moncton’s 2012 Week Without Violence (October 14th-20th), a Take Back the Night rally, march, and community gathering will be taking place in downtown Moncton on October 18th. The Beausejour Family Crisis Resource Centre, Crossroads for Women, the Moncton Women’s Progress Club and YWCA Moncton are proud to be collectively organizing this community event.
Take Back the Night is community protest and direct-action against sexual violence. Please note that women, men and children are invited to participate in all aspects of this particular Take Back the Night event.

5:30pm-6:45pm: Poster making at the Community Peace Centre (22 Church Street, ground floor). Supplies provided, but please feel free to bring extras!
7pm: Take Back the Night Rally at Moncton City Hall Plaza (655 Main Street). Please contact YWCA Moncton if you are interested in being a speaker.
7:30pm (approximately): March on Main Street. (Those who cannot participate in the march portion of the event will be welcome to proceed directly to the gathering at the Community Peace Centre).
8:15pm (approximately): Gathering at Community Peace Centre (22 Church Street, ground floor) with display of the Silent Witness Project. Light food and refreshments provided.
