Now Accepting Applications for Live-In Mentor at the YW Jean E.S. Irving Centre for Women and Children

YWCA Moncton is currently accepting applications for a live-in mentor, to commence September 1st, 2016, for their new housing wing for pregnant or parenting young women.

We are looking for mature woman, preferably who has had parenting experience.  The live-in mentor must meet the NB Housing income eligibility guidelines (no more than $25,500) and must not have arrears with Social Development/NB Housing.

The live-in mentor will ideally have some lived experience with either youth pregnancy, challenges and barriers faced with becoming a parent, addictions and mental health, homelessness, financial barriers, crisis management, problem solving, etc.

Live-in mentor will be required to respond to the needs of the young women living on-site, and be available specifically during evenings, over night and on week-ends.

As remuneration, the live-in mentor will live rent-free in a one-bedroom apartment (utilities included).

A minimum of 1-year commitment would be preferred.               

A valid criminal record check and SD check are required from the selected candidates.
