It is Catherine MacLellan’s voice that strikes you first. Pure and haunting, it caresses softly, insulating itself into your heart, and just won’t let go. Then, the subtle strengths of her deeply confessional, powerfully poetic songs emerge, revealing hidden layers with every listen. Her potential was first displayed in the group The New Drifts and then on her 2004 solo debut Dark Dream Midnight. MacLellan’s sophomore album, Church Bell Blues, is cleary focused on Catherine’s compelling voice and expressive acoustic guitar. She did not have to look far for insight into the creative process as she’s the daughter of Canadian music legend, singer/songwriter Gene MacLellan.

Energetic, stripped down and full of catchy hooks, The Strombachs deliver sublimely rocking tunes along with an unforgettable and polished live performance. The Strombachs are led by Melanie Keith and backed by Robin Anne Ettles. Mel and Robin released an album in 2004 entitled "Imitating Hercules" to great reviews and their next collaboration is set for release in February 2008. Some of their songs are enjoyable in their straightforward stance; others contrast deeply personal lyrics with uplifting melodies. Be prepared to rock and fall for their music.

Ruth Minnikin is a musician, visual artist, and businesswoman with an impressive roster of national and international tours both as a member of such bands as the Guthries, the Heavy Blinkers and as a solo artist. A testament to the high demand for Ruth’s unique voice has found her on upwards of 40 recordings and on stage with many popular artists. Her third LP “Folk Art” finds her shifting further from the sweet country - folk of earlier work into the darker recesses of rural American tradition.

From the first ghostly notes of Erin Costelo's debut EP, The Trouble and the Truth, the mood is set for a unique artistic experience...Made up of piano led compositions that divide their focus between jazz informed songwriting and playful experimental arrangements, the album's seven tracks dodge any kind of convention. Costelo's warm and accomplished vocals blanket each track with a hushed intimacy as her lyrics deliver a hard won perspective rare this early in an artist's career.

Jane Ehrhardt is a classically trained pianist born and raised in Moncton. Now she is a singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and show person living and creating in Quebec. She has one full-length solo album "The airs of my heart” and she is also a full-time member of Second Hand Virgin and Les Motherfolkers. Jane has a dynamite repertoire and lyrically her texts often explore different facets of human emotions and relations. Her eclectic style is constantly evolving as she searches out new inspiration from both traditional and contemporary music.

Jessi Homenick, born in the Prairies, brought up in Sussex and living in Quebec City, has just recently begun performing her compositions for the public. Her songs, mainly about love lost or gone wrong, have played a major role in her many healing processes. Her catchy melodies and simple guitar work have caught hold of many talented artists, like Mary-Beth Carty and Jane Ehrhardt whose gifts enrich and enliven her songs. She is anxiously awaiting the polished product of her first recording project.

The Damnsels began in 2005 when Ilisha French and Jinette Comeau decided they wanted to fulfill their plans of getting a punk/garage band together. After multiple attempts and a few line-up changes, they chose Josh Steeves to be their drummer. They have been keeping busy ever since writing songs, recording and performing around the Maritimes. They recently released a DIY four song single on CD and vinyl and they also have plans of an upcoming tour in the spring of 2008.
