The guide is designed for use when:Family Law Matters Settled;
Uncontested (you do not expect your spouse to oppose the
divorce); Using Separation as Reason for Marriage Breakdown
(you have been separated for at least one year);
Know where your Spouse Lives (so you can arrange to have
a third party serve the documents on your spouse); resident
of New Brunswick (You and/or your spouse have lived in
NB for at least one year).
Free advice is available for women who can't afford
a lawyer and who have not yet spoken with a lawyer. Family Law includes
but is not limited to separation, divorce, custody, guardianship,
and division of property.
