A Home For Her

​A Home for Her provides safe, affordable housing for single adult women (19 and older, with or without children) who are homeless, at risk of being homeless, or precariously housed. This program supports women as they build bridges to independence by offering:
Participants can be referred to the program by women’s shelters, community based agencies, or Social Development case workers; self-referrals may also be considered for the program. Participants must be receiving Social Assistance or be willing to make an application for Social Assistance, and be willing to meet other conditions for participation. All applications are confidential and will be processed as quickly as possible, usually within 2 weeks. Placement into the program depends on the applicatn’s motivation, readiness, and suitability for the program, as well as the availability of units.
