YWCA Saint John

2014 marks a new era of service delivery for YWCA Moncton. Called to action by our national movement to preserve the legacy of our birthplace, YWCA Moncton is committed to renewing the 145 year old YWCA mandate in the Port City of Saint John. Like the iconic Three Sisters Lamp on the Saint John waterfront, YWCA stands resolute as a guide; helping women and their families lead empowered lives. Standing with our sisters, with a blended voice and collective effort, we will advance gender equity in New Brunswick.

Programs and services offered in Saint John will focus on:
… helping young women reduce the effects of poverty through economic empowerment programs targeting their unique needs

… engaging young men and boys in ending gender-based violence through co-gendered violence prevention programs and events

… empowering young women to become leaders in their own lives using a strength based assets approach to personal growth and development

… raising the voice of Saint John women and girls through advocacy and collaboration at the local, provincial, and national level
